Thirteen Cardiovascular Institute members
are among the world's most highly cited researchers in 2020
The Cardiovascular Institute is delighted to recognize the inspirational Stanford scientists who have been included in the Clarivate Analytics Web of Science 2020 Highly Cited Researcher list. As an institution, Stanford University boasts the third highest number of highly cited researchers in the world, and over 10% of those researchers are leaders in cardiovascular and pulmonary science and medicine. Inclusion in this list is a testament to these scientists' exceptionally broad and impactful contributions, and the siginficant influence they have had in their fields.
As David Pendlebury, Senior Citation Analyst at the Institute for Scientific Information, explains, "In the race for knowledge, it is human capital that is fundamental and this list identifies and celebrates exceptional individual researchers who are having a great impact on the research community as measured by the rate at which their work is being cited by others."
We add our congratulations and gratitude
to the 13 CVI members highlighted in the 2020 list.
