2009 CVI Seed Grants Recipients

Thirty-nine proposals were submitted by interdisciplinary research teams for the Cardiovascular Institute's 2009 seed grants. The most impressive and diverse yet, the submissions propose innovative ideas and collaborators from over fifteen departments.

A considerable number of proposals received high-scores, making it impossible for the judges--Drs. John Cooke, Mark Hlatky, Robert Robbins, and Sofie Kleppner--to choose only three. Thus, after lengthy consideration, the judges unanimously elected to fund SIX proposals at $100,000 each.

Congratulations to the 2009 winners of Cardiovascular Institute seed grants!
And many thanks to the judges for their thoughtful analysis.
