Cardiovascular Institute

CVI Strategic Plan [DRAFT]

Overview

The Stanford Cardiovascular Institute is the home for cardiovascular research across the Stanford campus. As a center of intellectual and scientific activity, the CVI provides resources to its members to stimulate discovery, translation and implementation of new treatments, diagnostics, and preventative medicine. The mission of the CVI is to lift the burden of cardiovascular disease. The current strategic plan, developed with AMC Strategies, provides a roadmap to achieve this mission.

The CVI strategic plan identifies disease focal points at the forefront of research at Stanford. Our understanding of disease causes, progression, treatment, and prevention is informed by scientific disciplines that cut across each disease area, allowing the CVI to serve as home to a network of collaborations that can move the field of cardiovascular research ahead with great speed and efficiency.
