Stanford Cardiovascular Institute Seminar Series

Inaugurated in September 2006, the institute monthly Institute Seminar Series hosts six to eight visiting professors annually, who are world leaders in basic science, clinical and translational research related to heart and vessel disease.

Institute members recommend speakers for this interdisciplinary series. Many are clinician-scientists whose work is translational in nature, who present topics related to clinical cardiovascular disease, pathophysiological mechanisms, and emerging therapies.

Lectureship Series in Cell Therapy and Developmental Biology

In 2008 the Stanford Cardiovascular Institute began a new Visiting Professor Lectureship Series on Cell Therapy & Developmental Biology.  The Stanford CVI invites prominent investigators in these areas to stimulate exchange of ideas and foster collaboration among the Institute's myriad of laboratories.
