Cardiovascular Institute Development UpdateThe clinicians, surgeons, engineers, and scientists affiliated with the Institue are dedicated to improving the diagnosis treatment, and prevention of America's leading killer: heart disease. Five million people suffer from compromised heart function in the U.S. alone, where nearly one million people die each year from heart disease. The Cardiovascular Institute is a bold attempt to break away from the decades-old organizational constructs, to realign Stanford's cardiovascular enterprise to foster campus-wide collaboration, accelerate the pace of discovery, and ultimately to develop new methods to prevent, detect, treat and cure heart and vascular disease. Learn more about the Cardiovascular Institute's development priorities and how you can get involved. |
